    Schema markup questions

    What is schema markup?

Schema markup is structured data, usually written in JSON-LD, that labels the information on a page — a business address, a question and its answer, an article's author. It helps search engines and AI assistants understand your content precisely.

    Does schema markup improve rankings?

Not directly. It makes your pages eligible for rich results and easier for search engines and AI tools to interpret, which can improve visibility and click-through.

Will FAQ schema show FAQs in Google results?

Since 2023 Google shows FAQ rich results mainly for well-known government and health sites. FAQ markup is still valid and helps other search engines and AI assistants understand your Q&A content.

How do I test my schema?

Use Google's Rich Results Test or the Schema.org validator. Paste your page URL or the code and fix any errors or warnings they report.
