    FAQ

    QR code questions

    Do these QR codes expire?

No. These are static QR codes — your content is stored in the code itself, with no redirect service in between, so they keep working for as long as the destination does.

Can I change where a QR code points after printing?

Not with a static code. Point the code at a page on your own site (for example yoursite.com/qr/menu) and set up a redirect there; you can change the redirect any time without reprinting.

How do I track QR code scans?

Turn on scan tracking for website codes. We add UTM parameters, so every scan appears in Google Analytics 4 under the source, medium and campaign you choose.

How big should a printed QR code be?

At least 2 cm (about 0.8 in) square for close-up scanning. A common rule of thumb is one-tenth of the scanning distance — so a sign read from 3 m away needs a code about 30 cm wide.

Are free QR code generators safe?

Be careful with generators that require an account: many create "dynamic" codes that route through their servers and stop working when a trial ends. Static codes like ours don't depend on anyone's servers.
